Christmas Baby Favourites

I am a total Christmas freak.  I love it!
It may have something to do with the fact that I myself am a proper Christmas baby as I decided to surprise my parents, be really awkward, and arrive on Christmas Eve!

As my naughty little baby has decided its much warmer inside his mummy than it is out I have been "window shopping" online and here are some Christmas goodies I am loving and should to get you and your little ones in the Crimbo spirit ;-)

1.  Unisex Star Print Christmas Romper £18.50 from Mamas & Papas - We have actually just purchased this one for our baby boy to wear at Christmas as we had a voucher to spend and there was a 30% discount weekend on.  I LOVE this little romper!  It works for a girl or a boy and is comfy and cosy whilst still being festive

2.  Reindeer Socks £3 from Tesco F&F - Another bargain from Tesco F&F, I love these little socks and for the price you could get a few pairs in case one goes walkabouts!

3.  Unisex Christmas Pyjamas £14-£16 from Mothercare - Every little boy or girl needs Christmas pyjamas to sleep in over the festive period and these are some of my faves from Mothercare!

4.  Unisex Christmas Knitted Cardi £26 from Mamas & Papas - Another unisex number from their amazing Christmas collection.. I love the fairisle pattern on this cardi and its really thick and warm for those Christmas walks we all know and love!

5.  My First Snow Globe £15 from John Lewis - There is something about snowglobes that I find really magical and this one from John Lewis for your baby's first Christmas is adorable!

6.  Christmas Pudding Jumper £8 from Tesco F&F - As always Tesco F&F have a great range of baby clothing for Xmas and this pudding jumper is no exception!  Its great value for money as well

7.  Christmas Pudding Leggings £11 from Not On The Highstreet - Jesus these are SO damn cute.

8.  My First Christmas Personalised Stocking £10 from Mothercare - I still have my stocking from when I was a baby and I would love to get Harry one to keep forever too!  Obviously this isn't likely to be filled this year as he won't have a clue about Crimbo but I think this is such a nice thing to have if you have a new baby for Xmas! (Plus this one already has our little boys name on!)

Do you love Christmas as much as me??

Baby Clothing Haul

I haven't really posted much about clothes we have bought for Harry, because I want to save as much as possible to do some baby OOTD's!  However I can't resist showing you a sneak peak of a few of our little dudes outfits!

This Mickey all-in-one is from Mothercare!  Its soooo cute, I couldn't resist the little mouse ear hat!  Yes, I will be dressing Harry up in silly outfits because I can!!

I love dribble bibs on baby boys, they look good and they are really practical!  I know have a huge stack of them but my fave is this Hungry Caterpillar one which I found on EBay!!

As you know we are totally obsessed with anything with elephants on for some reason!!  I got these little soft shoes from Sainsbury's a few months ago now

This yellow rain mac is probably my favoueite item in Harry's wardrobe!! It is just SO cool!!  Its really well lined so it will keep him nice and warm in the winter and looks like something his daddy would wear to a festival!! The best thing about this mac was the price.. £5!  It was in the sale from Tesco F&F and I am so pleased we found it

These little Ugg style booties were a present from one of Harry's granddads and came all the way from Portugal!  They will be perfect to keep his tiny tootsies warm

This beautiful Jasper Conran pram suit was a gift from Harry's future baby friend April!  She never got to wear it and as its white its totally unisex and will be great for the cold weather we are starting to endure

This gorgeous little knitted set was handmade by a friend of ours who is expecting in Jan 2014!  I wanted to cry when we received them as they are just so so cute and one of a kind :-)  The bobble hat is my fave, I can't wait to put it on his head!!

Another outfit from Tesco F&F, this was one of the first things we bought for Harry!  Its really really soft good quality material and I love the colour!

SO there you go.. a tiny peek into Harry's wardrobe!!  I am so excited for him to arrive now so I can start styling him.. hehe!!

Baby Buys: Grobag Egg Thermometer

I was recommended the Grobag Egg Thermometer by a friend with a newborn and she advised it is a complete essential for any new mother!

Its a very simple little device that will glow different colours according to the temperature of the room -  a very important thing to know for you and your little one! Health professionals recommend that the room your baby sleeps in should be between 16 and 20°C to help reduce the risk of cot death

The egg, which also doubles up as a night light, will glow yellow if the temperature is between the recommended guidelines   It also has a digital LCD screen to tell you what the temperature is

This wasn't something I was going to purchase until nearer Harry's due date but I saw an offer on the Bounty website that I couldn't miss out on, you can get the Grobag Egg Thermometer and a cute Egg Shell for £14.95!  Usual price is £34.95 so it is definitely worth getting if you are interested in one!

Have you used the Grobag Egg Thermometer or will you be getting one??

Wishlist

1.  Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor £74.46 from John Lewis - I have heard really good things about this monitor, it has a motion sensor pad that doens't go off every 5 seconds, alarming you, your other half and your baby.  We were going to go for a video monitor but decided against it as we could possibly get a little too obsessed with watching our little one, plus our parents never had those when we were babies and we turned out just fine!

2.  Millie and Boris Baby Record Book £18.50 from Mamas and Papas - This is one of the nicest baby record books I have seen, it is jam packed full of pages to record the life of your little one as well as little pockets and envelopes for you to put little souvenirs from your journey together in

3.  Elephant Print Baby Blanket £20 from John Lewis - Since we are going with a slight elephant theme for Harry's nursery this baby blanket is a must have for us! Its so so cute, just right colour blue and is amazing quality
4.  Easidream Ewan the Sheep £27.50 from Precious Little One - We have recently been reccommended this little cutie by friends with a baby and they have advised that this is one thing we MUST buy! Ewan the sheep emits soothing sounds at a low base frequency  that can be played to your baby even before birth into your belly.  The sounds of heartbeats and womb sounds can be heard which really helps to calm your baby and send them off to sleep.  It also glows pink as this is really comforting to babies and has several calming noises to choose from
5. Leather Moccasin £25.99 from Zara - Baby moccasins are just TOO cute aren't they!!?  I have seen at least 5 or 6 pairs in Zara alone that I feel baby Harry must have in his life!  I know he won't be wearing shoes anytime soon but it doesn't hurt for him to have a few in his closet does it..  These red leather ones from Zara are my absolute favourite!
6.  Elephant Nursery Prints £39.33 from Etsy - I fell in love with these prints a while ago when I came across them on Etsy!  They inspired our nursery theme and colour scheme and i can't wait to buy them and put them up on the wall!!
Whats on your pregnancy wishlist??

Baby Buys: Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Essentials Set

As you know we are being super organised when it comes to shopping for the baby and another pricey thing on our list was an electric steriliser.  When we were buying our Quinny in Babies R Us we came across an amazing offer on the  Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Essentials Set for half price at £69.99.  This really is an absolute bargain as there is so much included in the set:
1 x Electric Steriliser
1 x Electric Bottle warmer
2 x Insulated bottle bag
4 x 260 ml bottles
4 x 150 ml bottles
6 x Milk Powder Dispenser
2 x Medium flow teats
1 x Pure soother
1 x Teat tongs
1 x Closer to Nature Bottle Brush

We were really lucky too, not only was it a 20% off weekend when we bought it but we were also given £10 gift voucher from when we bought the pram so it cost us a mere £45.99 - as you can imagine i was a happy chappy and spent the leftover money on a pram blanket!

Obviously we haven't tried it out yet as it will stay in the box until nearer the time but as soon as I do I will do a full review on how it works, what was good and what was bad about the product, but I have heard really good things so I am expecting it not to disappoint!

Do you have the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Electric Steriliser??

Baby Buys: Quinny Buzz

We have had to be really organised when it comes to buying bits for the baby due to us also buying our first house!  We have to furnish the whole thing and provide everything a newborn requires within the next 5-6 months so first on our list was to purchase the mightily expensive pram

We knew we wanted to go for a travel system as we had heard such good things, they are modern and seem to be good value for money for what you get.
At first I had my eye on the Mothercare Orb as a couple of friends have them and the are fab but then Laura recommended the Quinny Buzz and I instantly fell in love!

The first thing I noticed about it is that its so easy to manoeuvre.  Its really light and the handle is adjustable according to your height (good for me and Mr H as we are like teeny tiny borrowers) and goes round corners so smoothly

The second things was how compact the whole thing is.  It doesn't feel bulky in the slightest like a lot of prams and folds down so small  - you also have the option to easily remove the wheels to make it even smaller which I loved

The best thing about the Quinny Buzz is how it erects itself!  It has a gas spring which automatically unfolds itself in a nano second at the touch of a button, I can see this being SO handy when little H arrives and I have my hands completely full!

You can buy the Quinny Buzz here at Toys R Us for £324.99 but I would recommend going into store as they will knock off more money depending on the offers that day and they will also price match if you have found it cheaper elsewhere.   Its compatible with the Maxi Cosi Pebble and Cabriofix car seats and you can also get the Quinny carrycot as an added extra if you need it

Now you can get away with just purchase the basic frame and stroller set as the stroller seat is reclinable and with an insert is suitable from birth, however the carrycot that comes with the pram is really nice and we felt that it was necessary for us to have it as well as it looks really cosy and warm for baby

The carry cot is foldable as well which is fab for storing it or putting it in the car! You can get the carry cot here again from Toys R Us for £164.99

Have you bought your pram?  What did you go for??
